Release 12

DEDHAM, MA, October 20, 2010 - Slingshot Software, a leading provider of web-based enterprise business software for mid to large sized enterprises, today announced general availability of Release 12.0 of its Enterprise Business Suite.

The new release delivers more than 50 functional improvements and enhancements, including the addition of fully integrated Fixed Asset Management software and web-based Point of Sale (POS) software applications. The addition of new modules and functionality supports Slingshot’s ongoing mission to provide an end-to-end solution for the multi-channel enterprise.

Release 12.0 has introduced significant extensions to Slingshot’s industry-specific capabilities for companies in retail, distribution and financial services. For the multi-channel retailer or retail distributor, Slingshot has most importantly added integrated Fixed Assets and Point of Sale (POS) applications, but has also added work order processing enhancements, and multi-level requisition and purchase order approval functionality.

For financial services organizations, Slingshot has added support for multiple sets of Ledger books (and accounting treatments), for prepaid expenses and deferred revenue and for recurring vouchers and recurring invoices.

Building upon the integration of AJAX technology introduced in Release 11.0, Slingshot has implemented several infrastructure and platform enhancements to the Enterprise Business Suite in Release 12.0, including new copy/paste functionality, dynamic sorting, enhanced cross-browser support and migration to Crystal Reports 2008.

“The enterprise software marketplace is demanding greater flexibility and accessibility from enterprise applications,” said Slingshot Software CEO Paul Carr. “Release 12.0 delivers greater functional depth than any prior Slingshot release and continues the evolution of our platform and user interface to support the best available technologies and user experience.”
